Kodak launches its first Android smartphone IM5

Phone has a 5-inch screen with 720x1280p display resolution. It has autofocus 13MP rear camera with LED flash that comes with unique image management software and 5MP front camera.

The smartphone packs 8GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card; 1GB RAM and is powered by an octa-core 1.7GHz processor from MediaTek.

The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, but is expected to receive an upgrade to Android Lollipop 5.0. The battery capacity details remain undisclosed for now.

The smartphone will first launch in Europe by the end of March, followed by a global rollout.

The Kodak IM5 comes with a dedicated app store called Apps that offers users quick and easy access to a hand-picked selection of applications suited to their interests. There is also full access to Google Play.
