Idea Cellular launches battery-efficient 3G Wi-Fi Dongle at Rs 2,999 in market

Built-in with 1500mAh battery, Smartwifi Hub does not need power supply from any device. The company, however, has not disclosed much details on the device's battery life.

Priced at Rs 2,999, Idea also provides 6GB 3G data for one month with its Smartwifi Hub dongle.

Idea claims the device to be compatible with all major operating systems, be it Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Linux or Mac OS.

Also, the device is compatible with 900MHz and 2100MHz frequency bands.

Smartwifi Hub can connect multiple devices (laptops, smartphones, tablets or any) with a download speed of 21.6 Mbps and an upload speed of 11Mbps.
