WhatsApp सेटिंग्‍स में हुए बड़े बदलाव, अब ऐसी दिखेगी आपकी डीपी

व्‍हाट्सएप ने अपने एंड्रायड वर्जन एप्‍लीकेशन को अपडेट करते हुए सेटिंग में कुछ चेंज किया है। सेटिंग ऑप्‍शन खोलते ही अब आपको सबसे ऊपर प्रोफाइल सेटिंग मिलेगी। इसमें यूजर्स को प्रोफाइल पिक भी नजर आएगी। यही नहीं व्‍हॉट्सएप सेटिंग में प्रोफाइल पिक्‍चर अब सर्किल में नजर आएगी, अभी तक यह चौकोर होती थी। इसके अलावा आइकन और ले-आउट में भी थोड़ा बहुत बदलाव किया गया है। यह पहले से ज्‍यादा अच्‍छा नजर आ रहा है।

इस वर्जन में होगा उपलब्‍ध
यह बदलाव सिर्फ एंड्रायड के version 2.12.506 में मिलेगा। इसे आप वाई-फाई कें जरिए अपग्रेड कर सकते हैं। इसके अलावा गूगल प्‍ले स्‍टोर या व्‍हॉट्सएप वेबसाइट पर जाकर एपीके फाइल डाउनलोड करके अपने फोन के व्‍हॉट्सएप को अपडेट कर सकते हैं।

डॉक्‍यूमेंट शेयरिंग हुई आसान
अभी हाल ही में व्‍हाट्सएप ने एक बड़ा अपडेट किया था। इस अपडेट के बाद यूजर्स व्हाट्सएप पर एक दूसरे को फाइल्स यानी की पीडीएफ डॉक्‍यूमेंट आसानी से भेज सकते हैं। इसके लिए अब उन्‍हें न तो किसी सिस्‍टम की जरूरत होगी और न किसी ईमेल का सहारा लेना पड़ेगा। इसके लिए अब यूजर्स को बस अपना  v2.12.453 वर्जन अपडेट करना होगा। जैसे ही व्‍हाट्सएप का ये वर्जन अपडेट हो जाएगा वैसे ही इसमें डॉक्यूमेंट्स शेयर ऑप्‍शन मिल जाएगा। Read more Tech News http://inextlive.jagran.com/tech-news

No decision on getting Facebook, Twitter servers to India: Government

Tech News - "The government has not decided to get servers of popular social networking sites, like hike, Facebook, Twitter etc established within the country," Communications and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said in a written reply to Lok Sabha.
  
He, however, said the government regularly interacts with all stakeholders including social media providers to resolve the issues arising from time to time, related to handling of unlawful content on the internet.

The Minister said security agencies face difficulty while dealing with encrypted communications provided by various service providers.
  
World over several service providers are providing services like WhatsApp, Viber, WeChat, Skype, Yahoo, Gmail for sharing audio, video, image, email, data and accessing other web services anytime and anywhere in a secure manner, Prasad said.
  
He added the security of these services is achieved through encryption technology and these services are mostly availed by the citizens across the world through internet.
  
"At times these services may also used by anti-national and criminal elements, which pose a security threat," the Minister said.
  
Prasad added the government has mandated all the telecom service providers including internet service providers to provide the lawful interception and monitoring facilities to the security agencies for all the services including WhatsApp, Viber etc.

WhatsApp to roll out its voice calling feature in Windows phone soon

Tech News -  In a reply to a question asked by a Windows Phone user, WhatsApp support team indicated that the feature for voice calling for them is in developmental stage.

"WhatsApp Calling for your platform [Windows Phone] is still in the works," it said.

However, the email hasn't specified any  time-frame for its roll out for Windows Phone users.

"We cannot comment on any future release timelines but we appreciate your interest in WhatsApp Calling," the mail further said.

Facebook integrates WhatsApp into 'Facebook for Android'

Tech News -  The social networking site has added a 'Send' button with the familiar WhatsApp icon as a part of the status actions buttons that appear under each status update.

The new button appears on the right side (for left-to-right languages) for some users in the most recent version of the Facebook for Android app, media reported.

This move appears to be the first step towards connecting the two platforms in order to sustain growth and take control of the messaging market together.

According to reports, teams are already working on a deeper integration that will include the ability to send messages between Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp.

WhatsApp, which last said it had 700 million monthly active users, and was acquired by Facebook for over USD 20 billion in February last year.

Whatsapp introduces voice calling feature for Android users

Tech News - The voice-calling can be activated by receiving a call from someone whose voice-calling is already activated. After you get the call, you need to close and then reopen the app. After that, instead of seeing the most recent chats, you will get three tabs namely Calls, Chats and Contacts. The call tab shows incoming, outgoing and missed calls at the precise times.

Other messenger apps which provides voice-calling facility are Hike, Viber, Line, Nanu, among others.
WhatsApp, which is attracting around 70 million monthly users, can add another edge to its user base in India with this add-on feature.

Android smartphone users will be able to use the feature and company has stayed any word on whether and when it will be released for iOS and other users.

WhatsApp's voice calling feature had went live a few times before but was quickly shutdown. Users will get to know if voice calling is active on their account if the main UI automatically gets updated which will feature three different tabs where one will be allocated for calls, a second for chats and a third for the contacts list.

Whatsapp rolls out voice-calling feature through invites

The feature was first tested for selective users and then launched. However, one needs to get an invitation from WhatsApp to add on the feature in his or her mobile messaging application.

Earlier, users whose voice-calling feature was activated had the advantage of passing the invitation to their friends by making a call through WhatsApp, but the invite feature was later on removed.

Android WhatsApp users with version 2.11.528 from Play Store or 2.11.531 from website, who are able to see caller icon on the app, can easily make a voice call to their friends.

The WhatsApp website, however, claims that the users can also pass on the invitation to others.

Other messenger apps which provides voice-calling facility are Hike, Viber, Line, Nanu, among others. But, WhatsApp that reportedly is the much famous messaging app than others, attracting around 70 million active monthly users, can add another edge to its user base in India with this add-on feature.

Now, access WhatsApp on desktops!

With over 600 million users globally, WhatsApp till now was available only on smartphones across operating systems Android, iOS, Windows and BlackBerry.
  
"Today, for the first time, millions of you will have the ability to use WhatsApp on your web browser," WhatsApp said in its blog.
  
The web client is an extension of the user's phone with the web browser mirroring conversations and messages from the user's mobile device, it added.
  
"This means all of your messages still live on your phone," it said.
  
To connect the web browser to WhatsApp client, users need to open 'web.whatsapp.com' in Google Chrome browser and scan the QR code inside of WhatsApp.
  
"Your phone needs to stay connected to the internet for our web client to work, and please make sure to install the latest version of WhatsApp on your phone," it said.
  
Currently, the service is available only for Android devices as Apple platform has certain limitations.

Samsung all set to bid adieu to its ChatON messaging service

The social media generation has paved way for variegated messaging applications that transcend the global barriers to connect people without incurring hefty costs.  

    

Although, ChatON application is officially available in more than 120 countries in 62 languages, but still the pushed in service is finding it hard to strive against other well liked Android applications and hence its  unpopularity amongst the users had called for its doomsday.

ChatON will be reportedly discontinued in all markets except US from February 2015 onwards. The pre-positioned factor of the messaging service has immensely contributed to the populace of 100 million subscribers of the application. Other instant messaging apps like Whatsapp, Hike, BBM and Line are getting more positive response.

Unlike ChatON, the orange service is available on several mobile platforms including Windows Phone, BlackBerry, Android, iOS and more and can also be accessed via web client. It's ability to recall messages, you can create animated messages and location sharing feature make it more attractive and accessible.

WhatsApp can be available on desktop soon: Report

The reports reveal that the WhatsApp is working on a web version. A recent WhatsApp update (v2.11.471) has mentions of 'WhatsApp Web' within its code.

Further, the code mentions references to logging in/out of computers as well as tracking user statuses online. The report also reveals that the code has no mention of Facebook as such, indicating that users might not need to log into the web-based service via their respective Facebook accounts.          

According to the Dutch website, ‘WhatsApp Web’ has been mentioned inside the code of a recent WhatsApp update. However, there is still no official word from WhatsApp regarding the matter.

WhatsApp has 600 million active users globally, out of which 70 million users in India. Facebook completed its USD 19 billion buy of mobile messaging application WhatsApp in October.

Aamir Khan Files Police Complaint Against Defamatory Campaign

अभिनेता आमिर ख़ान ने मुंबई पुलिस से शिकायत की है कि कुछ सोशल नेटवर्किंग साइट्स पर उनके ख़िलाफ़ मुहिम चलाई जा रही है जिसका मक़सद उनकी छवि ख़राब करना है.

आमिर ख़ान ने इस मामले में मुद्दों पर आधारित अपने कार्यक्रम  सत्यमेव जयते का भी ज़िक्र किया है. उनका कहना है कि इस कार्यक्रम के ख़िलाफ़ भी दुष्प्रचार किया जा रहा है. आमिर ख़ान की शिकायत पर पुलिस ने मामले की शुरुआती जांच-पड़ताल आरंभ कर दी है.

मुंबई में मौजूद बीबीसी संवाददाता मधु पाल का कहना है कि आमिर ख़ान इस सिलसिले में आठ मार्च को मुंबई पुलिस आयुक्त राकेश मारिया और संयुक्त आयुक्त (कानून-व्यवस्था) सदानंद दाते से मिले थे.

बात डोनेशन कीमुंबई पुलिस प्रवक्ता महेश पाटिल ने बीबीसी को बताया है कि इस मामले की पड़ताल का ज़िम्मा क्राइम ब्रांच की साइबर सेल को सौंपा गया है.

आमिर ख़ान ने अपने फ़ेसबुक एकांउट पर जारी संदेश में कहा है, ''व्हाट्सएप, फ़ेसबुक, ट्विटर और अन्य सोशल मीडिया नेटवर्क्स के ज़रिये दुष्प्रचार किया जा रहा है कि 'सत्यमेव जयते' सीज़न 2 में लोगों से मस्जिद निर्माण में मदद और मुसलमान युवकों की सहायता के लिए डोनेशन मांगा जा रहा है.''

इन आरोपों के जबाव में आमिर ख़ान ने कहा है, ''जो डोनेशन मांगा जा रहा है, उसका इस्तेमाल ज़रूरतमंदों के लिए होता है जिसमें मज़हब का कोई सवाल नहीं होता है.''
