Hema Malini lashes out at media

The 66-year-old BJP MP, who had returned to Mumbai after getting herself treated in a Jaipur hospital, criticised the 'sensation-hungry media' on twitter. "As for the sensation-hungry media and a few members of the public, who had a field day maligning me even when I was helpless and in deep trauma who actually and unbelievably stooped to the lowest level of human decency, I can only say 'Shame on U' and 'God Bless'," she tweeted.

Hema had been criticised for leaving the site of the accident in Dausa after her speeding Mercedes hit a Alto, without reaching out to the victims of the accident. A two-year-old girl was killed while the victim's family members were injured in the mishap on July 2 and have been hospitalised.

Satyam's Raju, nine others get bail, sentences suspended by court

They had been taken into custody barely a month ago after the conviction in the trial court. M Laxman, special judge for economic offences, said the execution of  "substantive and default" sentence is suspended for Raju and his brother and then managing director of Satyam, B Rama Raju, on furnishing of personal bonds of Rs one lakh each and two sureties of the like sum.

"They shall also pay one tenth of fine amount within four weeks from the date of release on bail before the primary court (Trial Court), failing which they must undergo default sentence," the judge stated in the order.

With regard to eight others, the court suspended their sentences and granted them bail on execution of personal bonds of Rs 50,000 each and two sureties of like sum each.

They too were directed to pay one tenth of the fine amount within four weeks from the date of release. Raju, the main accused, and others, currently lodged in Cherlapally Central Prison, had filed appeals in the sessions court last week, challenging conviction and the sentences awarded by the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court (ACMM) in the over Rs 7,000-crore scandal which came to light in 2009.

On April 9, the ACMM Court, which tried the Satyam case probed by CBI, had sentenced Raju and others to seven years' rigorous imprisonment for criminal conspiracy and cheating among other offences.

It also imposed Rs 5.35 crore fine on Raju and Rama Raju, while others were fined Rs 25 lakh each. Raju and other convicts were asked to give an undertaking to cooperate for early disposal of the appeals without seeking undue adjournments. In the event of failure, the judge said, the prosecution can apply for revocation of suspension of sentences.

No decision on getting Facebook, Twitter servers to India: Government

Tech News - "The government has not decided to get servers of popular social networking sites, like hike, Facebook, Twitter etc established within the country," Communications and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said in a written reply to Lok Sabha.
  
He, however, said the government regularly interacts with all stakeholders including social media providers to resolve the issues arising from time to time, related to handling of unlawful content on the internet.

The Minister said security agencies face difficulty while dealing with encrypted communications provided by various service providers.
  
World over several service providers are providing services like WhatsApp, Viber, WeChat, Skype, Yahoo, Gmail for sharing audio, video, image, email, data and accessing other web services anytime and anywhere in a secure manner, Prasad said.
  
He added the security of these services is achieved through encryption technology and these services are mostly availed by the citizens across the world through internet.
  
"At times these services may also used by anti-national and criminal elements, which pose a security threat," the Minister said.
  
Prasad added the government has mandated all the telecom service providers including internet service providers to provide the lawful interception and monitoring facilities to the security agencies for all the services including WhatsApp, Viber etc.

Microsoft focussing on PCs, not to launch Windows 10 on phone 'this summer': Report

Tech News -   Joe Belfiore, Corporate Vice President, Operating Systems Group at Microsoft said that the phone builds have not been as far along as PC builds.

Belfiore also said that from the device view, their main focus is to kick off the Windows 10 launch wave with a great launch on the PC. Users should expect that the other devices like phone, HoloLens, Xbox, Surface Hub will be staggered.

 Windows 10 is continuing the same trend of Microsoft's PC release of Windows 8.1where PC release was earlier than the phone release.

In addition, Microsoft said that some features won't be available on Windows 10 at launch.

It is not clear how many features will miss the initial launch window, but Microsoft revealed that launch features start in the summer and increase in the fall. Also, Microsoft's new Edge browser extension support will arrive after the summer.

Rejecting government compensation and demanding action against the owners of the vehicle, family members of the girl have refused to perform her last rites.

"There is no headway on this issue (on the cremation)," Moga SSP Jatinder Singh Khehra said.
The body of girl has been kept in a mortuary at Singhawala village here.
