Xiaomi's market value hits USD 45 billion: Founder

Last week was the fifth round of fundraising by the firm and raised USD 1.1 billion, Lei said in an entry posted on microblogging site Sina Weibo.
  
Investors in the company's latest round of financing included All-stars, DST, GIC, Hopu Investment and Yunfeng Capital.
  
The results have demonstrated investors' recognition of Xiaomi's achievements after more than four years of ventures and will open a new chapter for the company's development, Lei was quoted in the state-run Xinhua news agency as saying.

Lei also said Xiaomi will unveil a new heavyweight flagship product in January, without disclosing further details.

Xiaomi to resume operations with Flipkart flash sale of Redmi 1S on 23th December

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday temporarily allowed the company to sell some of its devices in the country. Xiaomi's vice-president of international operations Hugo Barra said in a Facebook post that the company would have its next sale on December 23.
             
"We will also be resuming sales of Redmi Note shortly, with the 4G model this time," he posted.

Xiaomi's Mi3 and Redmi 1S use Qualcomm chips, according to the company's website. Its Redmi Note device uses a processor from MediaTek Inc.

Xiaomi had been asked to suspend selling its smartphones in a case related to patent infringements that telecom equipment maker Ericsson had filed against the Chinese company.
