The last flash sales of Xiaomi's 4G-enabled phablet saw a whopping
50,000 units going on sale on January 13. All the units were sold out in
just 2 minutes 50 seconds on Flipkart.
Xiaomi, however, also makes available its Redmi Note 4G through Airtel. The company could sell more models in Indian stores while pursuing its primarily online-only strategy if it succeeds in selling enough Redmi Note 4G handsets through shops of carrier Airtel.
Priced at Rs 9,999, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G features 5.5-inch 720 pixels display and 13 MP rear camera with LED flash. Also, it has 5 MP front snapper and the smartphone works upon 1.6 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 processor, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G comes with a 3,100 mAh battery and has only one SIM card slot unlike its 3G version which has dual-SIM slot.
Xiaomi entered India with online retailer Flipkart.com in July, selling phones through flash sales whereby availability is limited to short time frames.
