Audi A3 sedan

Audi launched the A3 Sedan with an eye on the Indian luxury car market. The diesel A3 is available in four variants, namely, Attraction at Rs. 22.95 lakh, Premium at Rs. 25.95 lakh, Premium + at Rs. 29.95 lakh and the top-end Technology Pack at Rs. 32.66 lakh. All prices are indicative of ex-showroom Delhi.

The petrol fueled Audi A3 sedan is available only in a single Premium + variant that is priced at Rs. 28.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The petrol Audi A3 sedan is powered by a 1.8 litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged engine generating 182.5PS of power @ 5,100 rpm and 6,200 rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1,250 rpm and 5,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed double clutch automatic gearbox.

The 2.0 litre turbo diesel engine in the A3 develops 144PS of power between 3,500 rpm and 4,000 rpm along with peak torque of 320Nm between 1,750 rpm and 3,000 rpm. The diesel engine is mated to a six-speed double clutch gearbox.

Hyundai Elite i20 wins Indian car of the year award

Leaving Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Honda City behind in the best car category, Hyundai Elite i20 bagged the best Indian car of the year 2015 award.

The nominated cars were judged on various parameters like price, style, comfort, fuel economy, safety, performance, technical innovation, value for money and suitability for Indian riding conditions.

JK Tyre & Industries Ltd Chairman Dr Raghupati Singhania, ICOTY 2015 Chairman Bob Rupani and Indian Motorcycle of the Year (IMOTY) 2015 Chairman Aspi Bhathena presented the trophy to Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) team.

HMIL had launched its Elite i20 car on August 11, 2014 since then, the company had received over 60,000 bookings and 32,000 buyers for this model.
