Huawei P8, P8 Lite images and specifications leaked

Tech News - One poster gets number eight in a digital style along with a battery icon, while another one shows light trails of orange and red colour forming number eight again with words, ‘Get ready to ignite creativity’.

We can speculate well that the company is on its way to launch the much awaited Huawei P8 and Huawei P8 Lite.

Although the pictures of the Huawei's anticipated handsets are being shared on the internet, we cannot be sure of anything until the company announces it officially.

It was the last year only when Huawei unveiled the super-slim Ascend P7 equipped with metal and glass design and it was recognised as one of the thinnest phones, posing competition to other tech giants.

Huawei P8:

The smartphone features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. Speculations are being made that the device will have unibody.

The device is powered by Octa core Kirin 930 processor clubbed with 3GB of RAM. The Ascend P8 operates on the Android 5.0 Lollipop with Emotion User Interface.

The Ascend P8 sports dual 13-megapixel cameras with auto-focus and dual LED flash. It also has functions like geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and HDR.

Huawei launches Ascend GX1 phablet in China

Huawei Ascend GX1 sports an 6” 720p IPS display and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. The device is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz.

The dual-SIM device is packed with an 8MP shooter accompanied by an LED flash, while selfie lovers will have to settle for a front-facing 2MP camera.

1GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory rounds up the rest of the specifications, powered with a decent 3,500 mAh battery.

Connectivity options on the Ascend GX1 include 4G LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and GPS/ A-GPS. The battery delivers a dual-SIM standby time of up to 198 hours. The Huawei Ascend GX1 measures 161x84.5x9.2mm, and weighs 173 grams.

Huawei to launch 4G handsets below Rs 10,000 within 6 months

"We are largest owner of essential patents for 4G technology. The essential patents are technology required to connect with 4G network. Within 3-6 months, we have plans to launch 4G handsets below Rs 10,000," Huawei's Director for Devices Sales P Sanjeev said.

Reliance Jio Infocomm, the only pan-India 4G spectrum holder, has plans to launch its 4G services by mid 2015.

Airtel and Aircel have started 4G services in select areas. BSNL, Tikona and Augere too need to launch their services in 2015.
  
Huawei said it had filed 12,000 patents till August 2014 for consumer devices and entered into cross patent agreements with leading companies such as Ericsson, Nokia, Microsoft, Alcatel Lucent and Qualcomm.

"The combination of our own patents and arrangement with other companies has helped us in making devices in affordable price range," Sanjeev said.
