Lava launches 'Icon' smartphone at Rs 11,990 in India

Tech News - The smartphone sports a 5-inch HD IPS display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat platform. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

The Icon features a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and 5MP front shooter with BSI-II sensor. The device gets its power from a 2,500mAh battery.

In March, the company had added two more smartphones to its flagship Fuel series-- Iris Fuel 10 and Iris Fuel 25-- priced at Rs 6,541 and Rs 5,666, respectively.
The Lava Iris Fuel 10 features 4.5 inch display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. The device is clocked at 1.3 GHz Mediatek Quad Core Processor which is complimented by 1 GB RAM.

The smartphone is equipped with 5-megapixel camera on the rear with auto focus feature and with BSI+ sensor paired with LED Flash. It has a 2-megapixel camera on the front with improved sensors for selfie enthusiasts, and the handset also sports a selfie button on the rear cover and voice controlled image capture option. The smartphone runs on Android KitKat 4.4 which is upgradeable to Android Lollipop 5.0 soon.

The device is bundled with internal storage capacity of 8GB which can be further extended up to 32GB through a microSD card slot.
Lava Iris Fuel 10 supports 3G connectivity, micro USB v2.0, Bluetooth V3.0 and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) on connectivity front. The device is packed with 3,000mAH Li-Polymer battery which the company claims offer 14 hours of continuous 3G talk time along with 6.5 hours video playback and 60 hours music playback time using earphones.
