Galaxy S6 Edge demand to exceed supply, difficult to complete order: Samsung

Tech News - The company also stated that it won't be able to keep up with demand for the S6 Edge in the near term because the curved screens are harder to manufacture.
             
"Some carriers are switching existing orders to get more of the S6 edge, and it looks like demand for the model will exceed supply throughout this year," said HMC Investment analyst Greg Roh.

"That means average selling price will fall at a slower rate, which will have a positive impact on Samsung overall," he added.

Galaxy Note Edge has a separate screen on the edge of phone equivalent to breadth of a pencil and runs parallel along with screen. This screen can display SMS or email text, alarm, time, etc as customised by user.

Powered by the Android 4.4 KitKat mobile operating system, the Galaxy Note Edge has a quad-core 2.7GHz Qualcomm QCOM +0.1% Snapdragon processor and sports 5.6-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen (2560 x 1440 resolution).

It also feature a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera (8x digital zoom) and a 3.7-megapixel front-facing shooter. The device supports 4K video recording, GPS, NFC, IR Blaster, LTE/HSPA+, S Health 3.5, Bluetooth, WiFi, microUSB.
