Mortar shelling at LoC draws criticism from Indian Politicians

The IB and LoC in Jammu region have witnessed heavy firing and mortar shelling by Pakistani troops since early October which has left eight persons dead and over 94 injured, including 13 security men.

Over 30,000 residents of border villages are living in relief camps away from their homes to avoid casualties.

BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Thursday said that the government requires building some powerful strategy against Pakistan to tackle the issue.

He further said that he will appeal to the Prime Minister to take a strict decision in context .

Congress leader Rashid Alvi and NCP leader Tariq Anwar also requested the government to act tough on the issue of Pakistan violating ceasefire agreement continuously.
