Helmed by Amit Ravindranath Sharma, the film is a remake of Telugu film 'Okkadu' which starred Mahesh Babu, Bhoomika Chawla and Prakash Raj in lead.

Produced by Boney Kapoor the film also features Shruti Haasan in an item song for the movie, titled 'Madamiya'.
Bannered Sanjay Kapoor Entertainment and Eros International 'Tevar' is slated to release on 9th January.
