Projects worth Rs 19,500 crore have been cancelled in Tamil Nadu, he
said, adding it was ironical projects started by railways have to be
cancelled by them on the ground that they had not even been initiated.
"It is the duty of the railway ministry to implement the projects started by them and if at all any one should be punished for non-initiation of action..it should be officials of the ministry and not the people of Tamil Nadu" he said.
He urged the railway ministry not to cancel the projects and instead expedite their implementation.
