Nitin Gadkari adopts Pachgaon village in Nagpur

Gadkari adopted Pachgaon village in Umrer taluka, about 15 kms from Nagpur city, last evening where he was accorded a warm welcome by village head Punyasheela Meshram and people.
  
Speaking on the occasion, Gadkari said there will not just be physical, but social and cultural change in the village in future.

He called on women to contribute in making the village liquor-free. Pachgaon village has a population of 4,923, including 2,543 women, and has a total 761 houses with 454 having their own toilets.

The village comprises 488 people from OBCs, 186 SCs and 92 STs. Its agricultural produce mainly include cotton and cauliflower and the vegetable is a famous produce in the district.

When contacted, Gadkari's Public Relations Officer Sudhir Deolgaonkar said a cold storage will be built in due course for cauliflower producers.
